Our New executive Director - Kristi Storey
We are pleased to announce that The Youth Museum has a new Executive Director, Kristi Storey.

Kristi is a lifelong Cobb County resident and a graduate of the University of Georgia. Kristi has a degree in Social work and has worked with several organizations developing programs for recruiting volunteers and fund raising events. As her career has progressed she has developed strategic plans for fundraising. She also has developed extensive skills in communication strategy development including e newsletters and web sites. For the last eight years she has been the Development Director for the YWCA of Northwest Georgia.

We welcome Kristi to The Youth Museum and look forward under her direction to many more
years of providing education programs to the students/schools of the Metro area.

We also wish Anita Barton, our Executive Director for 45 years, a wonderful retirement as she begins to relax and enjoy some planned travels.

Our 2016 BARBECUE IN THE WOODS was held
on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 10, 2016 and it was a very
successful fund raising project.

We thank those that attended and enjoyed Sam Huff's great barbecue and the spirited music of Peachtree Station. There was spirited bidding on the silent auction items and we greatly appreciate all the donations from our many
sponsors that contributed to the success of the evening.

The annual Barbecue in the Woods event is our major fund raising project
for the Youth Museum and provides funding that enables The Youth Museum to continue offering its programs to the many students/schools of the Metro area.

We have added on the Barbecue In The Woods page of this web site
a list of the Sponsors that made contributions/donations for this
event to enable the continued success of The Youth Museum.

Our retiring Museum Director, Anita Barton, was honored for her 38 years
of service to The Youth Museum by a proclamation signed by
Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin declaring the day "Anita Barton Day". Anita
has been the face of the Museum for these many years and we all wish
her the best as she enjoys a well-earned retirement.

We have two new ways that donations can be made in support of the Youth Museum. We always appreciate your support.
